NSW: 18yo woman critical following crash with empty bus

An 18-year-old woman is in a critical condition after a head-on collision with an empty
school bus in northern New South Wales.

The woman, from Piggabeen, near Tweed Heads, was heading east along Piggabeen Road
when her car and the local school bus collided.

The driver of the bus was uninjured, but the woman was taken to Gold Coast Hospital
in a critical condition after being trapped inside her car following the crash.

Ballina police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them or call Crime
Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
